Best-in-class know how on sealing and welding
Sealed Air Nelipak® has a wide experience in producing blisters in combination with carton sealing and high-frequency welding.
Seal blister (cardboard card)
The blister is sealed to the blister card by using heat and pressure. The card has a heat-activated coating. Sealing requires a blister sealing unit.
You can show the full product itself and still have enough possibility for written information as well.
Sealed Air Nelipak® has several options available to meet your requirements. Sealed Air Nelipak® builds in-house sealing machines to customer specification. Sealing machines can be rented or purchased. Sealed Air Nelipak® also has a contract packing department in which we can do the sealing and packing for you if required.
Greenblister (seal blister between cards)
This is an interesting new development. The blister is placed between two pieces of cardboard sealed together. Both two single blisters or a folding blister (clamshell) can be used. These are visible from both the front and the back of the packaging. This design has great promotional value as the contents are clearly visible. It is also attractive for environmental reasons, because the packaging components (plastic and cardboard) can be separated completely. Sealing requires a blister sealing unit.
HF welded blisters
The two blister halves are joined by high-frequency (HF) welding. The resulting joint can only be broken with a knife or scissors. Hence, HF welded blisters are perfect for heavy products and items attractive to shoplifters. A HF generator is required for closing these blisters.
Sealed Air Nelipak® can do the welding and packing for you or advise you on finding the correct partner in case you consider the purchase of a HF-welding machine yourself.
